ATF Form 1 Filing & Fingerprints

When converting a rifle or shotgun to short-barrel status or manufacturing a silencer by yourself, you are first legally required to file and receive approval of an ATF Form 1 plus make a $200 tax stamp payment. This process involves fingerprints, a passport-style photo, and CLEO notifications, all of which can be handled by our in-house team.

The Form 1 process is now 100% digital using ATF eForms, and wait times for most filings hover around 5-21 days. Although you do not need an FFL to file an ATF Form 1, many customers find it much easier and faster to use Lemcoe Precision to ensure their filing is accurate and won’t get rejected. We can provide inked fingerprint services as well as eventual NFA-engraving services once your NFA device is approved.

Lemcoe Precision charges a flat $100 fee which two FBI FD-258 fingerprint cards to assist with the eForms account registration, Form 1 preparation, and filing process. We are here to make the process as quick and easy as process.
