When permanently importing a firearm into the United States, there are a slew of considerations and processes to consider. In general, you will likely need a federally-licensed firearms imported (FFL08) like Lemcoe Precision to facilitate the shipping, importation, Customs-clearance, paperwork-filing, and laser-engraving processes required to legally import firearms.
Lemcoe Precision partners with savvy customs brokers in Atlanta to ship and import firearms into a maritime port or to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport CBP Service Port. Once receiving an approved ATF Form 6 Part 1, we can arrange for the shipment to the United States. Once the firearm arrives at the port, we will file ATF Form 6A to release the firearm from Customs.
After the firearm clears Customs, we will laser-engrave the device much like an SBR or SBS, but with the Lemcoe Precision markings making it a legally-imported firearm. Once the engraving is completed, the firearm can either be transferred to you on a 4473, or transferred to your FFL of choice.
We also provide importation services for other FFLs that are looking to bring in firearms, ammunition, or other defense articles into the country. By using our FFL08, we can save your firearms company the hassle and headache of importing using another type of License.
